Information we collect

Account data you provide (name, email and a hashed password). Project data you enter (website URLs and crawl settings). Technical data generated by use (crawl results, sitemaps, logs, IP address and browser type). We do not sell your personal data.

How we use your information

To operate the service (run crawls, generate and store sitemaps), authenticate you, provide support, improve performance and security, and send essential service messages. We process data only as needed to deliver GenMap.

Crawled website content

GenMap crawls the websites you register in order to build sitemaps and SEO reports. We store metadata about your pages (URLs, titles, status codes, images and videos) — not full page content beyond what a sitemap requires.

Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage for authentication and to remember your language preference. With your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure which pages are visited; if you decline, no analytics cookie is set. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice any time under Cookie settings in the footer.

Third-party services

We rely on infrastructure providers for hosting and, where enabled, payment processing. These providers process data solely to deliver their service and under their own security commitments.

Data retention

We keep account and project data while your account is active. Crawl artifacts are retained according to your plan. You may delete projects at any time; deleting your account removes associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, and API keys are stored as hashes. No method is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under Brazil's LGPD and the EU's GDPR), you may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children's privacy

GenMap is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Subprocessors

We use the following providers to run GenMap. Each processes personal data only to deliver its service to us.

Stripe

Payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe receives billing details; GenMap never stores full card numbers.

Resend

Transactional email, such as account verification and password reset. Resend receives your email address and the message content.

Tinylytics

Privacy-friendly website analytics. It does not use cookies and does not build advertising profiles.

Google Analytics (Google LLC)

Usage statistics, such as which pages people visit. Runs only if you accept analytics cookies; you can change your choice any time under Cookie settings in the footer.
